What Daily Fin Fix does and does not collect. Last updated 2026-05-29.
What we collect
Almost nothing. Daily Fin Fix is a static reading site. We do not run analytics scripts, third-party advertising trackers, social-platform pixels, or session replay. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) automatically logs visit metadata — IP address, browser type, page visited, date and time — for standard operational and security purposes. We do not export or analyze those logs.
What we don't collect
No cookies. No newsletter sign-up. No comments. No search box that logs queries. No reader-account system. Nothing on this site reads from or writes to your browser storage.
If you write to a Daily Fin Fix mailbox, your email and reply chain are kept in our mailbox for as long as the correspondence is active. We do not share them with anyone, do not import them into any CRM, and do not put you on any list.
Source confidentiality
If you contact the tips line and request source confidentiality, the editorial desk treats that as a binding obligation. We will not voluntarily disclose your identity to any third party. We use end-to-end encrypted email where possible if you indicate that need.
Sponsored content & outbound links
When you click a sponsor link (clearly labeled in the article body and in the dark sponsor box), you leave Daily Fin Fix and enter the sponsor's site. Their own privacy practices apply from that point forward. Sponsors do not see who you are or what brief you read before clicking through unless they themselves run tracking on the destination page.
Your rights
If you have written to us and want a copy or deletion of the email thread, write to owen@dailyfinfix.com with "Data Request" in the subject. 30-day response. California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and Utah residents have additional rights under state law — same email.
Do not sell my info
We do not sell information. There is no opt-out form because there is nothing being sold to opt out of.
