About Daily Fin Fix
Plain-English daily briefs on money, retirement, Medicare, and the household-finance decisions that actually move the needle. Edited by Owen Reeve, with contributing reporters at the retirement, debt, and homeownership desks.
What this publication is
Daily Fin Fix is a small independent daily brief read by Americans aged 35-75 who want to be told plainly whether something matters for their wallet. We publish short, sober, plain-English explainers. We do not chase financial-news headlines for clicks. We do not sell courses. We do not have a podcast. We do have a tips line for readers who want to flag a financial product or practice we should be writing about.
Who Owen is
Owen Reeve has been an editor and reporter in personal-finance journalism for over a decade, with prior stints covering retirement, household debt, and the residential-mortgage market. He edits Daily Fin Fix from a small office in the mid-Atlantic and writes most of the Retirement Desk briefs himself.
What we review
Every product or service we recommend in a sponsored brief is used by an editor on the staff for at least 30 days before publication. Most are used considerably longer. Several sponsorships have been declined because the timeline did not allow it, and several sponsored slots have been refunded because, after 30 days, we could not in good conscience recommend the product.
What we are not
Daily Fin Fix is not a Registered Investment Advisor. It does not provide personalized financial, tax, legal, medical, or insurance advice. Nothing in any brief is a recommendation that you specifically should buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument or service. Briefs that touch Medicare are not affiliated with or endorsed by Medicare, CMS, or the Social Security Administration.
Independence
Daily Fin Fix is independently owned. It is not owned by any bank, brokerage, insurance carrier, lender, debt-relief firm, or other financial-services company. Sponsored briefs are clearly labeled. The editorial desk has the final word on every published piece.
