Editorial & Sponsorship Disclosure

How sponsored briefs work on Daily Fin Fix, who pays for what, and why our recommendations should be trusted on the merits anyway. Last updated 2026-05-29.

The 30-day rule

Every product or service we recommend in a sponsored brief is used by an editor on staff for at least 30 days before publication. Most are used considerably longer. Several sponsorships have been declined because the timeline did not permit this, and several sponsored slots have been refunded because, after 30 days, we could not recommend the product in good conscience.

How sponsored briefs are labeled

When a brief is sponsored, three signals appear before you have to scroll past the first screen:

1. The dark-green "SPONSORED CONTENT NOTICE" strip at the very top of the page, above the masthead.
2. The word "Sponsored" in the kicker line directly above the brief title.
3. A dark-green sponsor box, set apart from the body text, with the sponsor name and a single call-to-action link.

If you do not see all three of those signals, the brief is unsponsored and there is no commercial relationship between Daily Fin Fix and any product or service mentioned.

How sponsors are paid

Sponsored briefs pay Daily Fin Fix either as a flat sponsorship fee, as an affiliate-commission arrangement on actions taken through the sponsor link, or both. The sponsor does not see the brief before publication. The sponsor cannot demand revisions after publication except to correct factual errors about their own product. Editorial control of the text stays with the Daily Fin Fix desk in every case.

"Editorial control stays with us. Sponsors pay for the slot, not the conclusion."

Limits we apply to ourselves

We do not accept sponsorships from:

· Payday lenders or any short-term loan product with an APR over 36%.
· Crypto-asset trading platforms.
· Multi-level-marketing companies or programs.
· Tax shelters or "tax-free" income schemes that do not pass our internal compliance review.
· Any sponsor whose product we have already declined to recommend after a 30-day evaluation.

What this publication is not

Daily Fin Fix is not a Registered Investment Advisor. Nothing in any brief is personalized financial, tax, legal, medical, or insurance advice. Briefs touching Medicare are not affiliated with or endorsed by Medicare, CMS, or the Social Security Administration. The official Medicare website is medicare.gov; the official Medicare phone line is 1-800-633-4227. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is reachable at consumerfinance.gov.

FTC compliance

All sponsored content on Daily Fin Fix is disclosed in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. Part 255). Sponsored links use the rel="sponsored" attribute. Affiliate-commission relationships are disclosed in the sponsor box on the brief itself.
